About The Hospital
Dr. Isam I. Juabeh Hospital was first established and licensed in Jerusalem in 1998 as a geriatric private hospital with fifty beds. All of our residents are from Jerusalem. The hospital is run by a well qualified staff including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, a pharmacist, a social worker and other auxiliary staff. It is also well equipped with advanced equipment and furniture that ensure safe and appropriate care for our hospital residents. Our care includes medical care, nursing care services, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and social basic rehabilitation services. The hospital residents are transferred when needed to the local hospitals and Kobat Holeem centers to ensure our residents are receiving the appropriate health care services.

Services & Team
Juabeh hospital’s physical environment and the health care team both integrate to shape a “family life” place for the elderly that provides them with physical, psycho-social, intellectual and social services. The structure of the hospital complies with relevant Authorities and Ministry of Health specifications and regulations including size, interior design, furniture, comfort, safety, security and domestic needs. Our caring multidisciplinary staff of the hospital provides evidence based practice that is assisted with the necessary medical equipment and ensuring the involvement of relatives. Our team includes:
Physicians
Specialized medical staff in geriatric care who ensure that the elderly are well medically cared and followed up according to their medical health status.
Nursing staff
The department includes register nurses and aid nurses who provide nursing care for the elderly 24hours/7 days ensuring that all nursing and domestic needs of the elderly are appropriately met.
Activity Moderators
They plan and implement activities like cooking, handcrafts , sports, recreational and games, trips…etc that promotes orientation, fine motor skills, mental, psychological and social aspects of the elderly.
Physiotherapists
Test and measure patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, respiratory and circulatory efficiency. They work with the elderly to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability in order to maximize quality of life, feeling of independence and self-esteem. They assist the elderly to perform physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and the use of supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
Occupational therapists
They use best evidence-based practice to promote Fine-Motor and Mental status of the elderly through therapeutic interventions and activities that help to maintain and develop the individual physical, psychological, social condition including ability to do routine daily tasks , retaining the feelings of independence and self-esteem.
Dietitians
They conduct nutritional screening of each patient to identify those in malnutrition ,they shape the nutritional care plan for patients and build a program to each one and assess the implementation of the plan regularly to maintain weight and blood tests within acceptable levels and promotes collaboration in nutrition care planning
Social workers
They maintain continuous contact and communication with patients and their families to support them to deal with various social issues that face older people including anxiety, dementia, depression, financial instability, aggressive behaviour, and other emotional and social challenges including relevant recommendations.
